Not 1 Successful Relationship Since...

Does PTSD affect relationships? I haven't had one successful relationship since 2012. The most recent man I've been seeing doesn't seem to understand. Which caused us to no longer see one another. I feel as if I can't be apart of a TWO until I figure out what the heck is going on with me.

I think you have a really good idea. Get yourself to sort through your issues and pain and anguish and you will later on begin to feel better and will be healthier and feel better and attract a healthier sort of partner for you.

Its not easy at all. I haven't been in a successful relationship since 2010...but part of that might be that I'm too scared to actually meet someone and put them through having to be with me. I've done the whole "I'm taking time for me, to get myself together! I'm going to therapy! I'm getting help!" and yeah.....four years later, I'm still no closer to not dying alone. hah!

BUT..I have to say, being on here, seeing others who are in relationships and able to find someone who still wants to be with them, and seeing the supporters posts wanting so bad to be supportive because they do love the person they are with is encouraging. Though the supporter threads are a double-edged sword, because I see how much pain they are in, and I never want to put someone I care about through that.
