One Thing That Made You Smile Today?

I was thinking about this last night and about all of the times I've smiled in the past week despite all the *&$5@ that's been going on for the past month. Score 1 for tenacity and resilience! The cutest episode involved me, a wee little girl and her gun, and Walmart.....

I was walking out to my car and saw a little one sitting in the cart while her mom loaded groceries into the trunk. She waved and said "hi" and I did likewise, then she pointed her little toy gun at me with her other hand while still waving at me. I started laughing, saying "Ooohhhh, nooooo, noooo" while turning away. She and I were giggling like crazy, and her mom turned around and started laughing too. It was just really cute. :) :)

Being in the presence of nature and several wild things made me smile today, including the humans I had the pleasure of spending time with.

While at mom's, a dragon fly and a flutter-by kept me company on the porch as a turkey vulture surfed the breezes above.

A visit from a bear, at a safe distance, when we got back home from mom's. It's the first one I've actually seen on our land this year, although I know it visited a while back when it took out the thistle bird feeder and left a big bite mark/crunch in it.

We also had a fawn visit and a hummingbird three-way showdown with multiple near-collisions.

I also smile a lot while reading the symbolic meanings of each animal energy that crosses my path within a day. I remain endlessly fascinated and well entertained by it all.

I was at BJs and the lady who checks your receipt as you leave remarked that she thought my purse was really cute and asked if I had made it myself. I told her that I'd bought it at the Hello Kitty store years ago and we both laughed as she said "Oh, I remember those stores." I'm a big HK fan. I have a few here with me. lol :)

Okay, I watching Daily Pop on E! (don't judge me! lol). Anyway, Justin, one of the hosts, lined up to do a bit of a dance with Thunder from Downunder (an AUS stipper troupe).... so funnny as they are ripped and he's well not so much so. :) Anyway, he got the pullaway shirt off, but the pants were another issue. He got the thigh part off, but the calf part of the pullaways just stuck. He was on the ground tugging and the other guys were trying to help him.... It was hysterical. Justin in his green boxers and iddy biddy muscles alongside of these ripped guys in tight black bikini undies. LMAO! The other hosts (Karissa and Morgan) were losing it on the sidelines. So freaking funny. You have to know the dynamics betwen the hosts, but so very funny and very much needed today. LMAO!!!!! Thank you! :) :)

I found this online and thought I'd append my post to include it. Justin is just so funny! What a great sense of humor. You can bypass the interview with the Down Under guys to around 2:27 to start with Justin's piece. It's repeated as well as you go along through the video in case you want to see it twice. I did. Ha ha :)

3 med. boxwoods, a coral scrub rose bush and a large fern (that will definitely not last after first frost) for $5. Weather permitting and with a running start on the rose and boxwoods even if they all don't make it I'm out 4 bucks. Acceptable risk and mister brought home a lot of fish so I got heads, tails and guts for fertilizer. Note though: if you use fish emulsion or guts don't put em where your dogs can dig. I had a dog dig a 3 1/2 foot deep hole and even though I bathed him 5 times in like 8 days... he stunk so bad I wouldn't let him in the house.

We have lots of lizards where I live. I seem to always have one riding shotgun, wanting to be a hood ornament, or just plain enjoying the breeze as I head up the street to run errands. One rode with me today from my apartment to CVS, to the mailbox and back to the apartment. Cute little dude. :)
