My sister by another mother, came by for a visit because I was sinking into a grief/depression cycle and the boredom, and loneliness were killing me.

"B" has my heart. I have known her since 1975-1976. She is a good person and I consider her family. She came by and put my new recliner together...singlehandedly, I might add. Then listened to me cry over the loss of my sister... (who was "B"'s bestie).

Her love and compassion lifted me up out of a nasty funk and this made me smile in my heart!!!

my big old labrador has started to show empathy. He loves little children, hates it when they cry, and is getting the idea that he can affect them by being a big teddy bear of a dog and laying his huge head in their lap or licking their necks. I have never seen him raise a lip or even make motions like he might, he is just a big goodhearted dog all around. He is offering me compassion after my long arduous work week, swimming in deep water with the sharks at work. And it helps, he has learned a new role helping me step up into mine.

I had a black Lab when I was a kid. They are excellent dogs and are very good with children. :)

My cat, Ki Ki chasing me through the apartment, wanting to play. She still has a lot of kitten in her and she makes me smile, ...a lot.

When I walked with pup to the park this morning the sun was rising and in my eyes. As I approached the vast grassy expanse I saw a woman frolicking with her dog—the dog was jumping and twisting around joyfully in the air. And there were so many butterflies flapping up and down and around them, it looked like the dog was sort of chasing them or trying to be one of them! And as I got closer to the cool moist grass I saw that they weren’t butterflies at all, but rather red dragonflies, all around, backlit with glowing wings, and I stood there enjoying the wondrous moment for all I could while pup waited patiently for me.

The pup who I watched quickly pick up her 4' x 5' x 8" dog bed (which she doesn't sleep on but rides in the truck to go camping), turn it side ways to fit through the door and bring it to load when the driver of the truck came to visit.

My cats, and the if I cant see you, you can't see me rule. I kinda forgot about it living with an older cat for a few years but yeah, Pearl is just hilarious........
