Our ENTIRE local SWAT team got disbanded, a bit ago, for FULLY FUNDING their entire budget from reloading (from the police firing range, that would have otherwise gone to the dump) & providing security in the red light district, cutting local crime by over 800%. Didn’t cost the taxpayers a cent, and their Israeli riot training has prevented at least 2 full scale riots, locally… but… selling ammunition (to fully licenced resalers) and protecting the most vulnerable population during their off-duty hours? Apparently a horror too profound to live with. Politically. So they were all sacked.

An MRAP delivering for Amazon has my hopes up, that not total idiots have replaced them.

My caustic side is a bit “so they went with corporate backing, this time, to cover their assess” and pukes around a corner. But? It’s not dumb. Just gross. Heaven forbid police discards, and reducing crime, pay for police. Instead? Let’s. Get. SPONSORS!!! Shudder. Shrug. Just the world we live in. Common sense doesn’t work in first world countries. listening to a grandson get very serious about successfully communicating with an adult. he gets close, waits for an opening, makes eye contact and speaks very clearly at a moderated volume. At 3 and a half. I am still learning I think
