Oh your pets are all great. Hey does any one know what the organisation in Australia is that trains dogs to be alert dogs. I am extremely deaf and getting worse. I never hear knocks at my front door and now I lock the iron security door there is nowhere to knock anyway. I also do not hear my phone, alarm clock...I can almost lip read. But I need a dog for security anyway but an alert dog would be ideal and solve a lot of issues. Thanks.

For the most part, I also prefer the company of dogs to people. My furball can be a pain in the backside a lot of the time but he gives me a reason to get up every day. Because he is still young, he has boundless energy and is a total goofball. I look forward to the day he is through this "brat" stage and will actually listen to me. He is a lot of work but does wonders for my sense of safety. Like KP, he thinks the world revolves around me and I am the center of his universe. I do wish he would put some of that energy elsewhere now and again but I would be sad if he did. :O_o:

My goober barks at the thunder when it is far away. When it gets closer, he doesn't care. Of course, we haven't had many really good storms this summer. We once had a dog that was terrified of storms. We were sitting on our covered balcony when lightening hit very close. The 2 dogs looked at us as if we were crazy, turned and went inside. The younger of the two was afraid of storms the rest of her life.
