My anxiety is getting bad and I'm feeling so overwhelmed lately. Ever since my husband got sick in 2010 and got his gallbladder taken out he has had the worst attitude ever!! We live with his mom and 85 yr old grandma that has dementia that needs help being taking care of. I have cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus and scoliosis and am in pain pretty much 24/7 BUT my husband acts like his stomach issue is way worse than anything I deal with.

Plus with my ptsd I don't take to people raising their voices at me and his mother does it ALL the time. I shake and cry whenever this happens (which is all the time) Anyway my husband doesn't really help do much with his grandmother except help get her out to the car when she has to go to the doctor or therapy. But he makes me go with his mom to take her to these appointments because he says his stomach is hurting to much. Well what about my pain??

I'm getting so tired and frustrated that he doesn't help all he wants to do is play "World of Tanks" on his computer.

Then I'm scared to ask my psychiatrist for something for my anxiety because I'm scared of pills because my mother was a drug addict that passed away at 45. :( I'm just feeling so overwhelmed and don't know what to do anymore.

OMG, Shady! You're going through so much right now. I'm glad you're on here with people like me who actually understand.

This is not a healthy relationship, as you already know. Your health problems are going to continue to get worse because of the stress and anxiety. Your body can't fight all this at once.

I know you're afraid of pills because of what happened to your Mom, but please ask your doctor for something. Your experience with your Mom will ensure you that you will not take too many. Take something for your anxiety, just take it as prescribed. It may help your body and mind relax a little bit and that, in turn, will help with your physical pain.

I know these things because I also experience them every day. You need to get some help for yourself. Your husband sounds pretty selfish. Time to put your foot down and maybe switch responsibilities with him regarding his Mom & Grandma. You can take Grandma to her appointments and he can deal with his Mom's yelling and screaming.

Gosh, I wish I could just come rescue you and get you out of that entire situation! Please talk to your doctor. And please let me know what they say. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to give you something not too strong and you're smart and I know you won't abuse whatever they give you.'s to you. :-)
