I love this place. Even the friggin' cold weather. Glacier county has many combat veterans.
Best of all, Montana has a major shortage of "important people"... AKA big city a-holes.

I need to get up there one of these years. Hit all the states in my time save for Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and the Dakotas.

IMHO you have missed the best states in CONUS. But what the hell do I know? I'm "only a cowboy"....

I pretty much agree with you there. I wasn't much impressed by the rest, save for Northern Arizona and Southern Utah....and Death Valley. Love that area of the country. Took my little Chuy dog camping with me there a few years ago. He threw a fit when it was time to leave, as did I.


Places like that are the reason I truly could see myself as the crazy old hermit in a shack.
