Political Venting

I think Trump is the right person for the job, right now.
My concern about Trump right now is his reaction to the Epstein issue. I also wonder about the AI stuff in the Big Beautiful Bill. I can expland if asked but it will be a very looooong post so I will refrain for the time being. Otherwise, I think he is doing a very good job - removing illegals, murderers and rapists from the USA. I wish Canada would do the same. I am typically in the USA for 6 months out of the year these days, and when I go back to Canada I absolutely dread it. Trump is doing a much better job than Canada's Carney is.

That being said, the fact that he is encouraging everyone to 'leave the past in the past'' while people in power are running a sex trafficking ring of minors (just the tip of the iceburg) has me very, very concerned. Makes me think he may be compromised.

And this is the way it should be imho. Not black, not white. Trump isn't a hero, he is a person. Trump isn't a person who should be despised - he is some good and some bad. I think if people see him as all good or all bad that is reflective of their own biases - which we don't actually have time for right now.

brash, unpresidential, even asshole and i can live with it. But Trump is an unapologetic criminal, a felon many times over.
And his lips move when he reads. If he reads at all. Easiest job in washington DC? Syntax and punctuation advisors to the speech writers assigned to the POTUS. That phone never rings.

Even I will admit that the court process he endured, was a kangaroo court. The law was not applied according to law. It was political and they tried everything to stop him becoming President. Your own law says misdemeanour for the charged offence. There is enough evidence now public that political influence has been affecting US law. It should not be that way.

Can I ask where you got your information on this from @enough?
from memory, i lived it and was feeling pretty good about the future of our nation when the jury read the verdict (s).
just now i consulted factcheck.org and would be happy to repost what they had to say here verbatim but the basics are that there were 34 felony counts handed down by a 12 person jury in new york for fraud regarding payment's to a porn star for staying silent about alleged sex for pay that would have likely cost him the 2016 election.
with permission @anthony i would post a link to this trusted source for unbiased and unapologetically presented researched and verified facts. they print retractions if they get it wrong.
That means they are motivated to keep a level of integrity that is rare in the current market for journalism, a market where the ad dollars go to the preachers with the biggest choirs to preach to.

Ah, I see. Here is where the divide starts. I get my news from other 'untrusted' but from the pov of lived experience (my own and others) and trustable (to me and many others) outlets. Generally they are not government funded news outlets. This is where the journalism element that was spoken about in the other thread pops its head out.

I am Canadian. Canada is a shit show. Canadians are fuming because their children cannot get jobs and are not being given a proper education because we are a 'melting pot'. You see, only Indians (from India) are able to work in Ontario these days. Maybe all across Canada but I only have experience with Ontario. Why are only Indians working? Because Canada is multi-cultural of course. And the story goes that white folk are a bunch of evil pieces of sheist who don't deserve to live.

Meanwhile, white Canadians can't get work - because nobody will hire evil white people here. Instead, they have lost their homes and are freezing to death on the streets or placed into 10x10 apartments if they are lucky. White Canadians who have workedto support the government all of their lives. The government has stolen most of their pensions - if they had any to start. 'Immigrants' are getting free housing and cars and businesses. 'Trusted sources' of media are absolutely not reporting on this situation.

You are assuming that a corporate or government sponsored news agency is reporting the news to you in a 'trustable' way. And as long as you believe this to be true you will be overwhelmingly enraged, with feelings of fear and hopelessness and be compelled to defy people who may be actually trying to make the situation better.

Respectfully, you can't see it because they are gaslighting their followers with fake stories to villanize their targets and get an massive emotional response from their followers. It's working like a charm. I suggest looking at more balanced sources of news - not just the

I agree with @anthony. What they are saying about Trump and the charges against him are not true. It was a manipulative storyline to get you to have contempt for him. I know this because I researched all sides. The pro Trump side and the against Trump side. But most likely they have filled you with so much contempt that you can't even listen to anything that comes even close to Trump not being the devil incarnate. Seems like their manipulation is working like a charm.

I strongly suggest you get a more rounded pov before the US takes on the characteristics of Canada. Through my experience, Canada is already a gonner. The US isn't yet. Because of Trump. He isn't all right - but he is working on it.

Okay. How do you explain the direct quotes from trump himself?

This comes across incredibly racist. I know many folks from Canada and USA that have moved abroad for work, n that is viewed differently but im unsure why.

That's because it is incredibly racist. Against white people. We are the ones who are dying on the streets. I was one of them for over 10 years. I worked with a very well respected university all across Ontario interviewing the homeless. They are all white. Every last one of them. I am not at all apologetic when someone throws around the word racist. The word is simply a weapon whose intention it is to disarm me so I won't speak up.

Not going to happen.

And sorry, are you saying Trump admitted that he was a felon and a rapist? Happy to see that. Always happy to research both sides. How about you? Did you look into homelessness in Canada? If you have people who live in Ontario - doesn't matter what town, your friends will tell you that every Mcdonalds and Tim Horton's is owned by Indians - newly imported. All employees are Indians too. If they are telling you differently - they are wrong. It is happening all over without exception. My own personal experience. I travel estenstively and have a very wide network in Ontario. I am not mistaken.

Believe what you want but I am telling you - they are coming for you too. You are just being fed a line by your cherished media.

It occurs to me that we are both scared of the anarchy headed our way but we have different opinions of who “they” are.
Does it matter? Its a shit show and the longer it goes on the lower the expectations.
Our countries both need leadership and a way back to what we had before the current and the recent ass hats had their ways with us.

They is the globalists from my point of view. I think what I have been saying is that the anarchy isn't coming our way - it has been here for some decades. I am not afraid. Fear passed a long time ago for me. Determined is more the word.

From my point of view, Canada is a lost cause. Nobody is guarding our borders and it is clear that 'they' are attempting to displace the whites in our country. This isn't a matter of nasty names or not allowing someone to sit on a bus instead of stand at the back. Our whites are being killed off. That is because of the party that is running our government. That is because our government is allowing the displacement of the people who have been here for generations.

I am saying that President Trump, for all his imperfections, is at least trying to correct that in the US. He is absolutely not perfect, but he is trying to look out for the American citizens who built your fine country.

I worry that the people who have contempt for him are being bamboozled because the information you are receiving is imcomplete or incorrect. I rely on my lived experience to see that the media is not reporting properly. I am 100% certain of that. The only way we are going to get through this - is by not allowing anyone to push our buttons so much that we cannot discuss what is actually happening and what to do to protect those whom we love.

Thank you @enough, for speaking in a way that encourages connection. Much appreciated.

thanks for the thanks. passing it on to @anthony. Thanks for hosting a debate.
Its all about problem solving. I think a well regulated debate is step one in getting problems solved.
You are right, it is also part of my healing process and i suspect it is for a lot of us on here.

where you got your information
I’m curious, if people feel like sharing, where they get their information from and why they feel it is a source worth listening to. Idk which news to pay attention to there are so many and so biased. One person told me epoch times but then I learned that is a kind of propaganda. Idk how to tell the difference. Someone once shared a site that collates all the news and gives little codes showing the bias but I lost it.
globalists
What is a globalist and can you give some examples as well as examples of “not globalists”? I heard this term but it’s not clear to me what it meansz
