Prayer Requests

My mother is 80 years old and is in the hospital with kidney failure, congestive heart failure and pneumonia, please pray for her recovery. thank you from my heart of hearts!!!!

Please pray for Karla, she has 3 serious illnesses/conditions and is on permanent chemo as well as something like 18 medicines. Her conditions have caused things like all her organs to expand and grow, difficulty swallowing, and she needs surgery, but her condition is so rare, that the surgeon is stalling for time. Yet she needs the surgery NOW! Her hands turn purple when they get cold or hot and they hurt then too. She works as a home health aide, and her job is physically demanding. Yet she is so tired....

Please pray for my friend Peggy who had a stroke. It affected her right brain, the left side of her body. Also, please pray for her sister Inez and her daughter, who are taking care of her. She is still in the hospital, but when she gets home, they will be caring for her a lot more!

@SheilaKathy - offering prayers and support to you and the family/friends of friends who are ill and have passed. I'm truly sorry and will pray for acceptance, strength and healing for you all.

Following is our prayer for us today, performed by Jeremy Camp.

"There Will Be A Day" Jeremy Camp

I try to hold on to this world
With everything I have
But I feel the weight of what it brings,
And the hurt that tries to grab

The many trials that seem to never end,
His word declares this truth,
That we will enter in this rest
With wonders anew

But I hold on to this hope and the promise that He brings
That there will be a place with no more suffering

[Chorus:]
There will be a day with no more tears,
No more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place
Will be no more, we'll see Jesus face to face
But until that day,
We'll hold on to you always

I know the journey seems so long
You feel you're walking on your own
But there has never been a step
Where you've walked out all alone

Troubled soul don't lose your heart
Cause joy and peace he brings
And the beauty that's in store
Outweighs the hurt of life's sting

But I hold on to this hope and the promise that He brings
That there will be a place with no more suffering

[Chorus]

I can't wait until that day
Where the very one I've lived for always
Will wipe away the sorrow that I've faced

To touch the scars that rescued me
From a life of shame and misery
Oh, this is why, this is why I sing...

[Chorus:]
There will be a day with no more tears,
No more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place
Will be no more, we'll see Jesus face to face
There will be a day with no more tears,
No more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place
Will be no more, we'll see Jesus face to face

There will be a day
He will wipe away the tears [3x]
There will be a day

Please pray for my niece. She attempted suicide the night before last. She has an emotionally abusive boyfriend and she also feels she was made to feel worthless by him as well as by her parents during all of her childhood. There also was a suicide by someone at her job and she feels she is not on the right medicine. So, pray that her medical professionals get her onto the right medicine and do whatever else for her that can be done to help her. Also, because of the fact that she could lose her job, she cannot divulge to her therapist even that she attempted this. If she did she could end up losing her job. So this is a very dicey situation! I am the only one who knows....

My friend and neighbor Sue has a brother who handles her finances for her. For the last few months she has complained that he would not give her money for necessities near the end of each month. This last month it was her medicines, 2 of which she was out of well before the end of the month. Well, I had, had it with being patient with her brother! I called the Police and asked them to do a "Well Check" on her, to see if she had her medicines and if she was OK. They called me back and said that her niece was with her and was "working on the medicine situation." I'm sorry, but "working on" does not guarantee that the situation is going to be handled in my book. So I talked with the Director of the Senior Center about all this, as well as with Adult Protective Services, which is part of our Social Services Dept. here in this county.

Meanwhile, since her brother found out that it was someone at the Senior Center who reported him, he has denied Sue the right to go there! She is now a prisoner in her own home. Also, she is developmentally delayed and mentally challenged, a "vulnerable adult."

Please pray for Sue, that she will be able to return to the Senior Center and that her finances will be handled responsibly, either by her brother or by someone else who would be appointed in his stead. Thanks!
