Hi Cath &Bilby,

@Cath, yes it is free, I am a public health patient, so it is free.

@Bilby, I'll be buying a waist high set of dresser drawers that are wide and tall enough to put a change mat and bath on. That way I can use them after bubs starts being toilet trained.
If bending over now is fun, I can only imagine what doing it with a super deep wound would be like!

20 week scan next Wed....cant wait!

True, although bubs is big enough for not to have to drink heaps now.
According to scales I've put on bugger all weight, but tummy is growing fast anyway.

I'm somewhat resigned to the fact that tummy is going to grow regardless, but I won't let myself pig out cos it's still gotta come off later!

I agree!! Don't touch me or i'll knock you across the room. I didn't go through labor because I lost my daughter, but my safety plan was a midwife, and not a doctor. At home birth with only only the people I want there, no creepy coat people.

Best of Luck!
Emm

Well, scales lie. Big time.

Apparently I've put on 3.7kg in the 5 months of pregnancy so far.

SUPER pissed off.

Doctor was really understanding, and said my reasons for wanting a C section were MORE than reasonable, and that he would write up a letter supporting my case to the obstetrician.

Took Panda, (mum's little dog) for a long walk today, and now need a nap, so I'll try to settle her before I go to sleep, but she's got several play toys and rawhide sticks that I bought for her today that she loves, so she should be ok I hope!

Met my new T yesterday, so far so good! She is the kind of person that believes in trauma free recovery, and wants me to go through therapy with as few triggers as possible, whilst teaching me what is happening to me from the psychological and physiological aspects.

Also told her about my desire for a C section, and she said that based off history alone, women with PTSD and sexual trauma basically have a free ticket to a C section if they so choose, and she thought my reasoning behind it was very sound.

I was somewhat surprised, and yet relieved to hear it.
Also got to take the dog with me, which was awesome, so it was a really good session overall.

It's a cosy little house that is really comfortable and well lit, and she is very welcoming of small babies and pets, so if I do bring bubs along, it's fine, and if I leave him/her with the other half during my app, it will work just as well too!

I think I might get somewhere with this one!

Right. Going in for my 20 week scan.

And then telling the ob/ gyn that I'll be having a C section, armed with a letter from my GP and a volunteered letter from a mother-baby mental health nurse who had promised to push as hard as she can to support me.

Here goes!

P.S. someone might want to light a candle if the ob/gyn tries so push me into natural birth. It ain't going to be pretty if they do.
