I have been right here beside my husband ever since his ptsd diagnosis. It has been such a toxic, anxious, scary, frustrating, and strengthening experience. Until recently I was to the point where I felt we would never get onto the road of recovery. I felt lost, hopeless, and empty. Then, I came across a book that was written for the supporter's perspective. Most books and articles that I had read were based on PTSD itself. They have been very educational and helpful as to the how, what, why, and so on but never had I understood how this all effected me personally. What I could expect from our journey or that how I had been feeling was very common. This book gave us the first step towards owning our journey and regaining control over our marriage, instead of allowing ptsd to constantly sit in the driver seat! This is a great read for thone of you who's significant other is newly diagnosed or those who have battled with ptsd for years. The best part is that it is a free digital kindle book!
