Really Bad Commercials!

I think there should be a product for men's parts. The slogan should be "clean the gunk from your junk cuz no woman wants to smell that funk!" Bwahahaha

I haven't laughed this hard in a long time, my sides hurt.

Adverts treat us all as morons anyway. I'm in the UK and we don't have that ad here - thank goodness.

The ads that annoy both me and my Hubby are the ones showing men as being incapable of operating any household appliance or being able to look after kids or the house. There have been plenty of times when my Hubby has taken over the house and kids and (don't let him see this), he copes better than me.

And why does the wife say "that was close!" at the end of the commercial?!? It's like she's saying "thank goodness you did all those masculine things to counteract the summers eve because otherwise you would've grown breasts and started getting your period". *rolls eyes* This commercial irritates me even more every time I see it.

Hey Solara

Rather than be annoyed I'd suggest a change of channel. There are a few that I just have to either do that or leave the room for a few minutes. One's that really 'get' to me are ones looking for our donations and are designed to tug at our heart strings. Like showing kids that need food or animals that have been abused. Personally I do donate to a few organizations that help those situations but not because of the commercials.

I don't think we could come up with a 'top 10' most stupid commercials, although I think there's a reality show in there somewhere. I love my remote. :roflmao:

Last year, Hubby and I invested in a digibox that records. I tend to record the channels with ads so that we can 'zam' the ads.

I need to learn to mute the TV! Ugh, there is one banking commercial that used to always come on MASN or ESPN or TBS last year...one of those networks that aired baseball. It was maddening as the jingle started at the very beginning of the commercial so you never could hit mute fast enough before it got stuck in your head.

I'm one of those people who either watches things live (sports) or just finds something to watch when I'm in the mood, so I don't think I'd ever use one of those boxes that records tv.

I have a recorder. For me it's perfect. I mostly watch movies and it seems like they always schedule them for the middle of the night so the recorder comes in handy. I think it was Marshall McLuhan that invented the phrase that tv was a 'vast wasteland'. I could be wrong but I remember seeing a movie that he made that was called, I think, 'Mass Media, Mass Man'. Wow, that takes me back to my college days. Now we have more choices but less and less really good things.

Get spoiled with those recording devices. Thinking of getting rid of ours because it comes with satellite and thinking of getting rid of satellite. Just don't watch tv enough. But I will miss just fast forwarding through the commercials!

That just made me think of the movie 'Click'. I would be nice to fast forward through the crappy parts of life but then what fun would that be. :rolleyes:

We don't have satallite or cable, but still have a box to record the freeview channels.
