Hmmm. Same company that sells "home protection" also sells to criminals. Might be something wrong there.
There's this country in Asia, where everyone has had a weapon forever. Didn't seem to get them past the middle ages.
It's part of why I left the US. Fight over gun control, while the government chips away at actual basic rights, freedom of speech, habeas corpus, right to assemble. In great ideological battles, you almost have to become the enemy in order to defeat them. It's how anyone can conveniently explain away the A Bomb on Japan or the Dresden bombing. They did it first! Ha! Never mind the act. The US will have an internet wall (In envy of China) in a few years for security reasons, no worries.
I used to live in Baltimore. abt 4 years. I lived in a shit hole. On one of the border areas. i.e major projects (Mount Vernon near the MLK Blvd projects, 2 blocks away. I never carried a gun. I could get one no problem. But it just seemed to put a bad nuance on the situation. Baltimore at that time was number 2 on murder, number 2 on violent crime, number top 5 on everything else. Race relations were bad...very bad. Still are I hear.
But I had a ship mate of mine show me allot of tricks on how to survive without a gun. He was from New Orleans, proper. In the city. He took me there and showed me allot of things. They don't call it the big easy for nothing. Every one in that city has a scam and is working some sort of scam. Just be sure the scam ain't you.
I'm not trying to make anyone angry here. But there are other sides to this argument. I'm just of the opinion that we can live without a weapon. Kind of a marker for advanced society, everyone not needing to arm themselves, that's what the army is for, that we pay for. Sorry for rambling. It happens.
