So at my last counselling session , my therapist and I went to two traumatic events in my past and the results were encouraging .

The first one was about my brother being ganged up and had I was powerless to do anything about it because the guys that were beating him up were far bigger than me .

So l my therapist asked me what would I do seeing my younger self. I told him that I would give my younger self a big hug , and tell him that it is not his fault and not to hurt himself as a means of blaming myself .

The second traumatic episode we visited was regarding my biological father and how at a young age I was forced to obey Bob's commands and how I was never able to say no .

I then told my younger self that we have every right to say no to anything that we don't want to do .

Since that session , I find myself saying no a lot of the time when I hear a voice telling me to play video games .

I can say no , and I am not blaming myself for those two things .

Instead , I've been doing things that I enjoy doing , and that is starting to satisfying me .

I have spent a lot more time on my music , which is great :)

Way to go. You are taking back what belongs to you and you are feeling very good about that. Great success in healing and recovery.
