I think trauma based therapy is very very tough, to go through that one needs to be very very strong. It is a very painful way, but often so effective that I now know there is no better way.
Also, there are many untruths and half truths out there and you have to navigate those. As soon as I spot a lie I know it, so only dumb people would try to pass stupid lies by me.
It also depends on the patient in my humble opinion, it depends on their mental strength, whether or not they can handle certain side effects of some of the therapies. Every patient is different and the therapy should be tailored towards the individual. This is not easy because patients are often bound by the restrictions of health insurance which can make life a living hell......
If you are a strong person and you really want to break away from PTSD you should consider Trauma based therapy.....
By the way, from a person that is not intelligent enough, not capable enough Trauma therapy can get a patient into the grave........
So be very careful with your selection and as soon as something does not feel right, as soon as you think something is wrong you have to evaluate it immediately. A quack can cause huge damages.
I used to ignore my own instincts, felt so bad when being abused by some very very very dangerous people. Despite my pain I did not know how to protect myself and move away from such abusers. I was not capable to move out of the way to save myself. But now as soon as I notice those slugs, their stupid language, their intensive cruelty, and their horrific aggression I then feel bad immediately, and now I know as soon as I get those feelings that I am being attacked viciously over and over again. If some people would know how far predators go they would very very carefully evaluate every single person that talks to them. That applies to physicians too.
