well here's a fun fact - I'm not "well off" but I've made significant lifestyle sacrifices to afford an 'au pair' which is like a live in nanny because that's what our family needed and childcare costs a bloody bomb too.
It's actually quite common in Australia to have a nanny or au pair because the price of childcare can often be comparable.
I think that there is a lot for you to learn that you are aware of, but your method of asking questions come more across like misinformed statements which gives the unfortunate impression of opening mouth to change feet.
I personally am quite acquainted with the taste of foot - wish I wasn't!
Perhaps this is a reflective opportunity to think about how to explore topics you want to know more about, and also asking people if they want help first. Good intentions make wonderful paving stones on the way to hell!
Be careful with blanket statements - comforting in nature but they have a nasty habit of covering up opportunities to learn and grow as well as specific situations that should have been the only target.
