Has anyone else been blamed by their dad for their dad hitting/attacking their mum?

When I went to university and started working whe I was 19, My dad's domestic violence escalated a lot towards my brothers and sister and mother. I stayed at uni but returned to my family on holidays. It was on these holidays, I noticed this escalation of violence to them.

Finally my dad couldn't stand his domestic violence of his wife and children any more, he threatened my life so I would take his shame and blame for attacking his son and wife. He thought that if he threatened my life enough, I would unburden his shame and take the blame. Because of course your step-daughter learning in her uni course and earning money causes you to attack your wife and children.

Yeah, Maze...may the above be the proof of how utterly crazy it is to blame your stepchild!
He is trying to shift the responsibility outside of himself.
