Should I Celebrate My Birthday?

So, my birthday is next month and I'm having a hard time making a decision about whether I should or shouldn't do anything to celebrate.
I mean... why would you celebrate someone's existence when they don't... matter?

What do y'all think I should do? Should i just ignore it, or attempt to celebrate?

You matter quite a lot. (How do I say that 'the whole of existence wouldn't be the same without having you' without sounding melodramatic, oh well.)

You can also do different things than celebrate - like try to have just an okay day. Or a day in which things don't mess up in X ways. Or a day that just rolls through as any other average day, with you just getting through it and simply nodding acknowledgment to it.

But you matter. You always have, always will.

@WildMermaid Thanks :shy: But i don't matter because of what They said i am. Maybe it's just my confusion/brainwashing talking but; slaves aren't supposed to be noticed. i feel like i'd just be deceiving myself by acting like i'm an equal if i celebrated my birthday.

do you prefer books, movies, or both for the Hunger Games?
And i like both, but the books are my favorite :x3:

Aww shucks guys, i honestly wasn't asking for complements or anything! :bag:

Well see i have the choice of doing specifically X or doing nothing at home (which wouldn't be all that bad) and i sort of need to decide this weekend. :O_o: i'd like to celebrate by doing X, but i don't know if i should. Does that make any sense?

Thanks for the encouragement @WildMermaid and @Kaia!

But here are two other factors: 1) Celebrating by doing X could turn potentially be very triggering and 2) Other family members would be involved and I would feel like I was burdening them.
Let's add one more thing- If I say I don't want to celebrate, my Mother will be very upset and will throw some sort of celebration for me anyway.

If I decide to just "do nothing" at home, how should I tell my family I just want to relax?
