@Friday slugs are so rare here that I would treasure the visit of one—they are so cute! We have those little carnivorous snails with the cone shells, they burrow in the dirt to estivate—haven’t seen them when it rains lately and been missing them! There used to be so many we couldn’t help stepping on them. Hopefully it’s just a normal population cycle and not some horrible poison bullshit. They aren’t local but they sure are cute. Am a huge mollusk fan!!!

it’s a nationwide for-profit degree farm university for working adults. They called me back in five minutes and held my hand while I filled out the application and the federal loan. Whoa!

It’s one class every six weeks for 16 months. Masters of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Instruction and Curriculum. Online, of course. Here come the modules! Kind of can’t believe I’m doing it, but I am!

After starting to "run" last winter (aka mostly walking with a little jogging mixed in) I managed to run a full mile today without stopping. Doesn't sound like much or very far but it means I've gained a lot of fitness since I started!
