I have been so upset by this. I called my husband at work which I shouldn't do unless it is an emergency. He is pretty pissed and intends to make waves. I guess I just lack faith in the system. legally I know I am supposed to be protected and whether it was my ex or someone else the person should pay for it. Past experience tells me otherwise. We'll see.

Go straight to the police! If that don't work out, go straight to the circuit court or prosecutors office to make a complaint

Waiting it the WORST! I hope there's enough evidence to send the both to jail, if this isn't just an innocent mistake. (It's for sure a big mistake, if it's that.)

My identity has been solen. That was over 12 yrs ago and I am still trying to straighten it out.

Due to my family, I have HIPPA pretty well memorized. They WOULD require a signed form. Never been in a State that didnt but once you figure out what State it went to I would learn the HIPPA law in that State.

If they sent it without needing a signed consent from you and that is required, here is the complaint area of the site Filing a HIPAA Complaint to report them.

ABSOULTLY WITHOUT A DOUBT get the cops involved. Keep EVERYTHING. Make copies of EVERYTHING. Then obtain a lawyer for which every to sue. Or at least talk to one. MOST ESPECIALLY if they needed signed consent and didnt ask for it!

I'm sorry this happened! I am sure you are just a basket case! :hug:s!

Someone is playing a very sick joke on you, no doubt. I know those kinds of tactics and they always originate from some very sick people who attempt to change private information on the victim. There is an insider at that doctor's office that knows someone that may know your ex. There is a connection between someone that works there and your ex.

I know those types of sickos well, their ways of intimidating victims are endless. So even if an investigation ensues from this you can probably be sure that the guilty person has already wiped the tracks clean. Just saying, I know those types of games predators play...

It does seem incredibly negligent and reckless if they let someone change your info without demanding proof of identification .. unless of course your ex's wife was really thorough and used a fake ID. Here's to hoping that it was just some bizarre glitch.
