New Here
I started on buproprion 150mg on Monday last week for PTSD and depression with the intention of adding in a SSRI or SNRI after a few weeks to level out the agitation and anxiety. I was told to start at 1 tablet a day for 3 days and then increase to 1 tablet twice a day.

The first 3 days I had some funny feelings while adjusting to it but I felt great on the third day and the fourth until I had taken my second dose. The agitation, anxiety and constipation I can understand and would persevere with but my thoughts are going wild and I feel like I'm not in my body. I keep having to think to myself 'I am in control of my mind and body and everything is ok'. It has be a bit concerned.

I know no one can really give me medical advice, I have an appointment with my doctor in 8 days as that was the soonest I could get in. But if you were in this position do you think it would be wise to drop back to 1 a day? Would you stop it completely? Or maybe just try it for the next 8 days as the doctor suggested to see if these symptoms ease when I've adjusted to the medication?

This is a stop smoking aid too isn't it?
Designed to block cravings.

Those kinds of meds made me loco lol.
Psychotic dreams, chronic heightened state of fear.

They say give it 3 months, but keep your eye on It and good luck

Definitely phone. Any reasonable doc is going to be ok with a phone inquiry for concerning side effects where the alternative is to let it ride for 3 weeks. And most docs would easily prefer a phone call rather than having the patient tweaking the prescription themselves;)

Yes they are used to help quit smoking too, I'm not currently a smoker but I was a few years ago and I still crave it so that's a welcomed side effect. I do have a heightened sense of fear at the moment too, but as I discussed with the doctor adding zoloft or pristiq in a few weeks should help with that side of things.

I will be calling the clinic tomorrow. I took both tablets today and I don't have the same feelings this afternoon although this morning was still a bit hazy.
