I'm currently going through a horrible divorce from a narcissist, that I finally got away from after 25 years of horror. The court system is his battle ground to continuously abuse me and using our children to carry out his abuse. I got diagnosed with PTSD and still struggle every day with fear, anxiety and reminders on events and looking over my shoulder. I was unable to get the kids out without getting hurt. Police always send me back to him till I left quickly. I have to testify against him and are scared to death. They don't want to give me a protection order, because he didn't get caught yet to go after me , since he took my phone and I was unable to call 911. Till I got to the police he was gone. Like nothing ever happened.
I couldn't leave before, because we always moved without support system or he isolated me from family and friends to get help. He also controlled all the finances.

I have been through a horrible sitch, a bit like yours. In some ways still going through it. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, if I had one.

I'm sorry you are living this hell.

There are some great youtube channels about narcy abuse. Tonia Evans comes to mind and Richard Gannon and Tod Grande and more I can't think of now.

But whatever you draw on, don't forget to be caring for yourself with self care prac and boundary work and breathing and go gently eh? You've been.through a terrible, terrible thing and it takes time, and support and baby steps and a commitment to build yourself up, first and foremost.
