Deer, I'm so sorry that Matty died needlessly, it is not your fault. Matty had a great life with you, he was your friend, closer than most humans. Our pets do not judge us, whatever we want they are there, happy, sad, annoyed it doesn't matter because their love is unconditional.
It sounds weird, but I had my old boy creamated, i put his ashes in a sealed pot and buried that in a garden planter. I then put a plant in which flowere on the anniversary of his death. I still talk to him and ask him how he's doing, I know he still watches me.
Huge ((((HUGS)))) Keep going.

Breathe in counting to 4, hold it for 2 and breathe out for 4. Repeat until your brain kicks in to the counting. Hope it helps

Hey Deer,

I was looking for something here without logging in, and saw the news about your dog- gosh am so terribly sorry. It's hard to describe how much that hurts. I still can't talk about our old girl without choking- not actively grieving but whew- miss her also. I see KP posted about having them around, and I do that also- talk to her. I don't care how kooky I sound, I think they hear it.
