I am a wife of a retired soldier who spent 23 years in the army and he has PTSD. Reading all of the post has really helped me make a life changing decision. Even though my husband repeatedly talks to other women on the computer I am going to stay with him and help him through this. I do not agree with what he is doing and he is trying to get help but he is worth trying to help. Again thank you for posting your stories. Michelle

Michelle, this site is for active duty and veterans only who developed PTSD from serving in a combat zone. This is a very strictly enforced rule. It is not for supporters of service members or vets. There is a sister site by the same owners of this site for people who suffer from all other PTSD, or are supporters of sufferers. You will find a lot of support on the other site.

Michelle, you should be able to sign into the forum Barberian pointed you to.
I also wish to thank you for standing by your man. Although they will frown on you for posting in our forum, the other members of this forum will echo my thanks.

Just understand, 'Battle' has changed the wiring of your man. Deep down parts of him are shut down and you may never see again, but the basics of the man are still there. Make sure you tell him you will do what it takes.
