It's a sucka$$ holiday for lots of us and I want to be here as support since this site and you all have supported me.

We're (my trying mother) having too much food so the narcissist in her gets the pat on the back she thinks she deserves.
PM me and perhaps I could send some turkey days left overs. You won't have it today but today is just a day and a full belly is everyday.

I'm so sorry Fade. :hug: I've been there and it is so hard.

I'm drowning in depression from being way too alone. Going to try to drag myself out to hide from my depression for somewhere for a bit.

Thanksgiving was a bad day in the family. The dad was more abusive than normal. Often there'd be family fight. Think the brother was probably more abusive than normal too. And then when we decided to not spend it with the family it became huge family drama. lots of verbal abuse towards us. Lots of manipulation. told over and over and over how selfish we were. How dare we not be with the family.

For years now we have spent it with friends. Has become a good thing. Once we get busy, we will be fine but right now we struggling.

Ummm. I had to work this morning, so got home at 12:30. Will have a bowl of cereal for dinner and say screw it for the rest of the day.

@Fadeaway I'm hoping that you decided to go find a church or some kind of shelter that was having some kind of dinne....

I've been reading all of your posts. I'm so happy we're able to support each other during such a difficult time. I myself am hiding out in my mother's bedroom right now to escape the cheerfulness I don't feel. Surprisingly enough knowing that this thread is being used is one of the few things I can be thankful for today
