The Difference Between The Services

I guess it all depends on the context. Of course emotion is impossible to read through the internet. There are people out there that trully buy intot he jokes. They truly feel that the message of the jokes are real and will pass judgement on members of a particular service. Which is sad really.

No offense was taken at all. Was merly voicing some thoughts, thats all. By all means, "do what you do."

Hell the best chow i ever had was in an airconditioned airforce tent in mogadishu just once though. The rest of the time i ate flies with my mre's. They had these real nice payphones to and I got lucky to us one. The only problems was i had to quit lieing to my fiance about the great sand and sun because we got mortared while i was on the tele. when I ducked I drpped the phone and she heard it all. Damn AT&T. I do compliment the airforce for thier food and phones in somalia although we got looked at funny when we went in thier chow hall fully loaded and dirty as hell they still fed us. But I love the rivalry between all branches in all alied countries. The nonalied ones from me are actual straight up insults. TEX

I always enjoyed service rivalry. I found it both funny and a way to connect with the other services. I have been called jarhead wanna be cuz ai'm a ranger. I've even had a fight with a navy seal, we beat eachother and then went for drinks. Good times.

Brother, I was a Ranger and a U.S. Jarhead, I was deployed in Africa and got some time off in Kenya. Some brilliant person decided to give the U.S. Marines and the Brittish Royal Marines time off in the same town. Yeah...we started it, turned into a street wide riot of punching and kicking. We all got arrested, but the next day we all met up and played soccer "football" and got completely trashed together and sat around and joked and drank.

Service rivalry goes beyond branches and Countries, but we all love each other we just might fight once in a while. Just like your real siblings, you may not like them all the time but you know they have your back.

Where I was stationed there were bars that certain MOS's hang out because we would fight if drinking and the topic of who was better came up. But like was said earlier if a civi started something they would have to fight the hole bar of military. So I really think no matter the joke or slag word used if your proud of your service it should just roll off your shoulder. Maybe after a scrap and some booze.

Right on there brother, who gives a shit in the end anyway. You have to be proud of yourself first, then your corps, then your service, then your country.

With regards to football though, I reckon US v Aussies would be good too.You have gridiron and we have rugby league. It all involves throwing your body on the line. I think the football would end up with no rules and lots of punches, then a heap of beers at the end.

Jimmy, that would be an awsome sport. Teeth flying and then beer drinking later. No hard stuff though then everybody gets creative and we would end up with high wire football.
