Hi Everyone,
I'm writing today to comment on the progress I've seen with my sufferer over the last three weeks.
He has been taking part in an "Immersion" which includes weekly EMDR and then regular therapy sessions. He is not medicated at this point, but uses Inderal as a prophylactic for his adrenaline.
The change in him is remarkable. He has learned how to diffuse and think through some of his aggression instead of acting on it. We no longer seem to have conflicts like we used to, and when we do have an issue, our ability to work through it calmly is now the norm.
Naturally after having months and months of huge explosive fights, I am waiting for the shoe to drop, but I remain hopeful. I've never known anyone try so hard to get better and to face their illness like he is doing.
I continue to see my own therapist and to do everything I can to take care of myself. I have even picked up a new hobby (guitar playing) which really soothes me.
I thought a little good news was in order and I wanted to share.
