Thought it might be time for a headsup thread as so mny uk programmes seem to be touching on ptsd.

Homefront......sept 27....9pm ITV for six weeks.

Drama dealing with the lives of military wives...

Dont think it will be watched here...depends on wether hubs decides to watch it...for me it will either be too way off the mark and annoying or it will be too well done and push me into emotions that I have long trained myself to switch off....

Just hearing about this programme has freaked me out a bit if I am honest...

Thank you! We managed to successfully avoid another Who Do You Think You Are the other night after reading it traced both Grandfathers back to WW1 :(

Plus Flog It if all blooming things suddenly decided to do a 10 minute slot on trench warfare at 3 o'clock in the afternoon (we're on holiday!) and then happened to catch the end of Eastenders - what happened to Ian??? That was just as bad - talking about his T and not knowing the correct answer to his questions... :arghh;

Don't know if I'm able to watch it. I normaly cry my eyes out with something like that. But maybe I try. Thanks wife of.

You can't beat British Television.

Some of my favs which have also brought tears to my eyes.

Civvies- A drama about ex military and their families adjusting to civilian life.

Red Cap- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0307368/

Dr Who of course!! The new series is great.

Dirtwater Dynasty- I think one of the most depressing but enthralling programs I have ever seen. Had me in tears everytime.

That was an Australian Drama, speaking of which this one also I found very very good.

The Shiralee

I watched the Omnibus too the other day, I was pretty busy lately as well, was really shocked seeing Ian!!! I missed what happened :( Have to get watching it again!

Oh! My! God! Saw the trailer for Homefront on Saturday night :eek: Ok it may just be a drama to the people that wrote it, and to the vast majority that watch it and you can't "censor" tv just because it may offend a minority - but really!!!!

Yep....reckon it will be full of affairs and skew the keeping your mouth shut to keep up morale to look abusive...
