@falling_wave, I can totally relate to how you feel, most of my relationships my entire life have been that way, I couldn't handle it anymore and cut alot of people out of my life (not saying this is what you should do, just, it's what I ended up having to do for my own sanity). I hope you can find better people to have healthy, positive relationships with. I haven't yet, but I still have a glimmer of hope that one day I might. :hug:s if you accept

I think its noble to stick by your promises and commitments, but it does get to a point where you're trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. That is, no matter what you do, it simply isn't going to work. There is no shame in giving up once you've given it your all. None whatsoever.

I'd hate to see you waste an entire lifetime trying to love someone who doesn't respect you.
