I'm not married, but my boyfriend suffers from PTSD. I'm sure most of his PTSD is combat related, but there were some pretty rough things he went thru as a child as well. He also suffers from depression, and we suspect he is also bipolar and has Asperger's Syndrome, as well as OCD. Feel free to send me a message if you need to.

I am in the UK too. My husbands PTSD is not combat related either, but it makes no difference what the cause, to any of us.

Hi, I am in the UK and I would like to connect with others who simply get what its like with PTSD and I want to offer support if I can to those who are dealing with it directly or indirectly!

My PTSD is as a result of abuse but some of the abuse was perpetrated by someone very traumatised by active service and I was dreaming about leading a platoon of soldiers through mortar fire when i was 13...so strangely perhaps, I feel a connection with what soldiers go through as well as those who have experiences of childhood sexual abuse.

The two are perhaps not so unrelated....experiencing war is perhaps a very particular kind of violation.

Anyway I wish you all well with what you are going through!

Thank you for your amazing reply Abigail - Even when dealing with such terrible issues I find it wonderful how we all want to support each other.

Dealing with my husbands PTSD is such a roller coaster - I am jealous of people who think they have problems and really dont know they are born!!
