What Are You Grateful For Today?

Last week I had a massage. My muscles are still relaxing. Such a weird thing..... As if the massage started the process and my body is relearning I can let go a little.

As it does I am getting percussion clicks and clacks as things move and re settle: I am normally ’crunchy’ but I sound like a wooden toy. The discomfort in my shoulders in particular is so much less.

I thought I might freak a bit with the massage but I did it. And it's really helped
 
I get to pick up my favorite canine buddy today and hang with and care for her for the next few days. A very welcomed distraction. Grateful for knowing someone else has enough confidence in me to let me care for their precious loved one because I surely don't seem to have that same vote of confidence for myself, be it while caring for self or others.
 
I am grateful for the sun on my back.
I am grateful for snuggles, love and care.
I am grateful for losing weight.
I am grateful for the book that I am reading "The Mindful Path to Self-Compassion: Freeing Yourself from Destructive Thoughts and Emotions", 2009 by Christopher K. Germer. It has a lot of strategies for people with trauma.
