What Are You Grateful For Today?

For being by the canal, seeing the geese n mother duck with you guns, for the fruit foraged and the discovery of damson trees in the community park near me! Love damsons <3
For the neighbours cat who has taken to visiting us several times a day bless his cotton socks :inlove:

For the app SuperBetter, I like it such a lot

And for getting on better with him the last couple days.

Being emotional today, the other adoption became final today. My 14 year old son I adopted which became final last week,my now 12 year old daughter and I hugged with tears of emotion.Son was happy his sister is still in his life and she moves in this weekend. Both know they are in a loving home now no longer in foster homes. My oldest and youngest son including my bio daughter have accepted them in already.

So so happy that my two year old cat is finally asking for petting and has started cuddling. She's been with me since she was about nine weeks old but she had quite a hard start in this world. Her startle response is still high but she's getting more relaxed finally. Love unsolicited snuggles from kittens - even if they're almost grown up!

Comforting my 14 year old son I adopted this morning, told him he is not alone on something. He can't stand spiders and told him I am this way too.My mom spent some time with him knowing him more today. Was pretty cool about him being gender fluid and did buy him something from the girl's section.Bought him a top and a skirt.I thought that was nice of her and that was her welcome to the family gift.Next is my 12 year old daughter whom moves in tomorrow.

Grateful to have found a quirky, newer author of fiction that reminds me of the style of Tom Robbins or Douglas Adams - light hearted and quirky make it fun to read. This guy's premise was that the Earth was really a mental institution for other societies in the universe and the world is gonna end in 4 days and they are gonna unlock the restraints... but no one knows they can leave except one really mundane guy. (Owen Egerton also wrote The Book of Harold... but I found his second novel first)

Something about the idea of our world population really being residents in a mental institution I find funny... but I'm kinda weird that way.

Feels good to enjoy fiction more again.
