What Are You Grateful For Today?

My dad left rehab on Friday and is now recovering at home. It was too early, but the insurance company set the cutoff date. I'm afraid he'll fall, but I'm glad he's happier to be at home. Thankful that God chose to bring him back from where he was when he fell on Valentine's Day. Glad he is now more clearheaded. We had some very heartbreaking conversations when he was out of his mind.

I spoke to my dad today - very grateful for this! ? He was very short of breath and a lot of what he said I couldn't understand, but I was just grateful for the moments with him on the phone. Daddy's girl here crying a river of little girl tears.

Very grateful for all of the medical professionals who are tending to the sick right now (and always!), our first responders across the board, the city and county government adjacent to me as my county government is hiding somewhere or maybe they're playing golf?, and the miliary - especially the Navy which mans the Mercy and the Comfort. My dad served in the Navy during the Korean War.

Today, I'm grateful for social media and texting. Being able to keep in touch with family and friends around the world, through this ordeal, has been incredibly helpful. My family has been in constant contact sharing hopes, fears and belly laughs. This "social distancing" is bringing us closer together. ❤
