What Are Your Favorite "Safe" Movies?

Comedies! That's about all we can afford to watch at times. I really don't like anything violent or anything demeaning to women which means there's almost nothing I can watch. ha ha.

Finding Nemo is always a good one...
I like the mantra
"Keep on swimming, keep on swimming".

I try to stick to comedies now, the complete opposite of my pre-trauma horror movie fascination. I can watch some light dramas but there are many scenes where I begin to feel anxious and I just skip them so I end up missing some of the movie. I'm being told to use my old horror content as 'exposures', one movie at a time starting with the cheesy ones.
One movie I recently watched that I thought was good was "Ghost Town" with Ricky Gervais, it was fun with only small 'emotional' parts.

WOOT! Another Harvey fan! I am truly obsessed... If you haven't seen it, for shame! Go Netflix it! Jimmy Stewart has said it was his favorite roll.

Also, any (most) Holiday movies. I say "Holiday" rather than "Christmas" as two of my faves are Thanksgiving movies (Planes, Trains and Automobiles & Home for the Holidays), although most mistaken them for Christmas movies. Favorite holiday movie? Mixed Nuts with Steve Martin, Rita Wilson, Juliette ???, Adam Sandler, Gary Shandling, etc. idc that it has like 2.5 stars on imdb lol. You know I'm doing bad when I'm watching holiday movies in July! I start watching my collection in October so I can get thru them all by Christmas.

I also most often like the Disney style movies such as Ice Age and Nemo and actually I think "Up" is one of the best films ever, but there are times when the emotional childhood stuff is very raw and active that I can't go anywhere anything that reminds me of childhood and these do. Its darn tricky to find anything when I am in that mindset.

My favorite movie is Saved. It is a satire on christianity. It is pretty good. All of the Ice Age movies. The princess bride and all light hearted comedies.
Comedies.... Yea! I was just thinking about putting in my copy of Saved. Have you seen Happy Texas? It has that same sense of totally irreverent humor. I liked Dan in Real Life. I liked that more recent movie with George Clooney (sp?) but I can't remember the name of it.

Yes I have seen Happy Texas. It was very good. I love light hearted comedies. I love satire and irreverent humor.
