Going out to eat with a close friend who knows I have PTSD and also has it too. Or just going out for coffee with a friend of any kind can help. Sitting in my recliner with my dog in my lap, or rocking in it. (It is a rocker/ recliner). Reading a good book, the kind of book I like best, to escape from the bad stuff. When all else fails, taking some anti-anxiety medicine and going to sleep.
