My son was expert tackler, so he got mad and punch tackled me by punching his fist up under front sides of ribs. That lifted me bout a foot off the ground and onto back. I didn't breathe right for several months gasped breathing in with every breath. Son said this move was taught by by his coach to go under protective football gear. I wasn't wearing gear and he was mad at me.

Can I ask - how long ago did he do that? What's your relationship like with him now?

He' does construction and deals drugs, we barely speak. He also had inappropriate touching with brother and sister. I gave the Sheriff all that info and they did not prosecute him! That's why I'm ex Leo, county didn't want to pay for trial! He's not allowed in our home. I also forced counseling while he was still in home. He is ODD and has Borderline Personality Disorder.

Stuck with this, despite all this, I love my wife. My 19 year old and 17 year old are at home still. Those two kids are great! We get along and I live for them.

So? First, BPDers do not want to hurt others. They only want to hurt themselves. Mental illness doesn't excuse abuse. I am not saying you are doing that, only making a statement. I hear a lot of "well they have [X mental disorder]". That is beside the point. They can control their actions and do not have to abuse people.

BPDers are known for manipulation but I have not heard them being known to assault another. Maybe that's just me though. I think I am a bit sensitive to it due to having BPD myself and after Jodi Aris claimed she had BPD and that was the excuse for her to kill someone, everyone (family) started to look at me like I could snap at any given moment and go Norman Bates on someone. Sigh! No!

Anyway, I am sorry that happened to you! Very glad to hear he is no longer in the home! :hug:

I'm glad he's not home as well! Hoping when my therapist gets back from vacation I can work through this better.
