What Have You Accomplished Lately?

Got several forms filled out and ready to mail to the courthouse and utility companies on mom's behalf that have been needing my attention, got the car inspected and had to laugh at the 4/20 sticker now displayed on the windshield on behalf of the state inspection agency, and managed to start on a list of things to make double damn sure we have in place for when the hubby has his open heart surgery. I can feel every cell in my body tense up just thinking about what's to come. I can only imagine how his innards feel.

Garden 100% complete. Managed mom yesterday and through the night after extractions.

That "smooth like butter" comment made me giggle and even shed a few happy tears, @PURUSHA ...and I thank you sincerely because my heavy as f*ck curdled like old spoiled milk attitude needed them giggles, big time! :)

Yesterday, I finally finished typing up the rough draft of mom's experiences in being transitioned from hospital to hospice care, and I relived each and every heart-wrenching moment along with every emotion and all the ones in between. Six hours later, I have 8 pages of awareness for the professionals who have shared that they are willing to listen and receive it in hopes of improving things.

I still need to proofread and edit, but that's going to have to wait. May the depth of the pain I feel in my heart equal the amount of proactive change that hopefully takes place. Whew. Now on to some major nature time, damn good music, many more giggles, and all forms of intense self-care that I can manage.

It may not sound like much, but I walked to the store and back. I have a lot of pain in my hips when I walk. Pain that my doctor will soon be treating me for. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis that is worsening and it was a real struggle to walk. I am proud of myself for getting out there and doing my best. I am close to needing a walker to help me walk. I already use a cane. I am determined to keep walking as long as I can.
