What Makes You Angry Today?

I find myself turning off the TV and having little interest or tolerance for this Syria stuff. I almost feel ill, so I'm following the avoid, ignore, cope comments from another thread. After coming out the other side of the OIF conflict, maybe I better understand what Nam vets were dealing with as they watch the political spin-up to validate engaging Iraq & Af'stan. They already knew what shit was about to happen to thousands of troops. I'm still proud of our duty and the professionalism of our service but it all seems tainted now that I've seen the cost. I'm sure if anything really happens and when the next wave of troops are deployed, I'll root for our folks to do well and come home in the best condition possible but at this point, I'm not sure I really want to be a spectator. I'll be there to pick up the pieces and help returning wounded warriors. I'm sure we will all have our chance as they start to post Introductions to this site. Right now, I just feel ill to see the political jockeying and knowing some of the potential cost of what may eventually happen.

I thought this appropriate for this thread. Maybe there are a few work colleges or neighbors that need this plastered on their doors or windscreens.

I have already got over the grieving side of the house, but I am now angry. One of the last mates of mine who died who I thought died of a heart attack had actually committed suicide. I am pissed because a few people I know kept it from me. I know the family did not want it as public knowledge, but he was a real good mate of mine. I only saw him not so long ago and he was getting stuff for his man cave.

I suppose I can't save everyone.

Sorry for your loss Jimmy.

I know where you are at - buried a marine (Korea) a week or so ago. We were very close even though we served in two different campaigns. He was very proud of his service and a week before he passed he was showing me his picture when he enlisted. He was one of men that walked away from the Chosin Reservoir in 1950.

War has a habit of doing shit like that - ya know. Gonna miss him.....

It's amazing that so much support has come from such an unlikely venue. Jon has been pounding the VA for a while and doesn't seem to be letting up. Usually these late night guys are in it for the ratings, period. Gotta respect the guy, he's trying.

A Costco employee denied access to my service dog. I explained the law to Costco employee. Costco employee didn't care. To make a short version - Denied access. I tried to educate Costco employee. Still denied access. My wife called the police, and talked to Costco management. Costco management apologized to me. Police arrived. I filed complaint. Police talked to Costco management. Police gave me report # and DOJ website to make official ADA complaint.

This was the second time in less than a week Costco tried to deny access to my wife (the first incident with her service dog in training), then flat out denied me access (second incident, me with my service dog).

Sorry for you Bar. That made me angry reading that. Totally ridiculous, but the fact is, we will always be surrounded by morons and they push our ability coping to the max
