I am sorry Nicolette that I have not yet responded to this; I am still pondering what to say exactly. As you know I am frightfully busy at home at the moment, which is not helping me think clearly! I will respond when I can, do take care in the meantime.

Hi Ryair:hello:Excellent advice, a good plan, you are right, it's only natural that a carer is going to have stresses of varying kinds as we are human after all, but its how we deal with them which is the vital part. Ryair you expressed that well:clap::smile:
Cheers:occasion:Pebs

Ryair thank you for this, point taken and understood, that is why i have now got my own support group through carers connect here in the uk. It is just starting to come together so i can now maybe feel less stressed at home.

I wish I only could find a light switch and turn off my personal stress.
The only way that I can really shield anyone if I am having a significantly difficult time is to "Detach with love", take care of my stuff, and then re-connect. It is very difficult to do, as I found out a few months ago when I told my sufferer I really could not see him because I knew I really couldn't contain my stress without projecting it all over the place.

I guess it depends on the situation, but I don't think there's a way to turn it off.
There's only honestly and communication with someone to let them know I'm not feeling my best emotionally and to try to get enough space to find my balance again.

Nicolette

Lord knows I am the last person on earth to give relationship advice, but something occurred to me while reading this thread.

Planning a wedding is very stressful all by itself, add other outside stresses and you have a mess.

I think that once the wedding is over and things have calmed down somewhat you will find some peace together.

There are always going to be stress issues in your life--just because, but you will be more relaxed and more rested once the wedding is over.

Prayers go with you both.

Hi Grama Herc and thanks for your kind words.

I don't think you realised I posted this thread over a year ago when Anthony was having issues with his ex and I had work issues.

I am very conscious of stress and the wedding planning has been no stress at all....I do one thing a week and don't involve Anthony unless I have to. The way things have worked out themselves has been a good sign as all the wedding planning have been easy with everything falling into place so well.
