This is the kind of shit that happens when people believe every word of the bible as "truth". Uhm, the bible contradicts itself in MANY places, so yeah, how do you put your faith in something that can't even agree with itself and say that the bible is the TRUTH? Don't get me wrong. I'm a believer, I have a personal sense of faith and spirituality. I do find strength in certain bible verses. However, I see the bible as more of a guide in which we can find strength. It is not infallible. Far too often people get sidetracked and go off on these stupid bunny trails. They make it so convoluted that nobody knows what to believe anymore.

I'd say these guys need to double check who they're working for! (Cuz I can guarantee you that they may think they're working for the "good side", but that's highly questionable.)

We can't wish our PTSD away any more than we can wish cancer away. Then again, there's a denomination for that, too, right? Sigh.

Sally, I respect your right to have your belief. However, telling people

causes a lot of suffering. Especially, to the people who do/did have faith. 20+ years of it.

It just doesn't work like that and is unbiblical at that. I am not here to debate your beliefs. I am glad you have something that works for you. But don't your your beliefs to guilt trip fellow sufferers for not seeing things the way you do.

Yup, and many have died, mostly children due to those beliefs, At a church I know of, two girls who were students at the churches "School for Supernatural Ministry" were charged with manslaughter after they ran across a hiker who had fallen down a cliff and was injured. Instead of calling 911, they decided to pray that god would heal him and that angles would carry him up the cliff. They prayed earnestly and hard...until the man succumbed to his injuries and died. But yeah, this church charges big bucks to teach people how to preform miracles. I know a little too much about it because I knew the leadership of the church...well, lets just say better than the average parishioner.
