Your Pet Did What!?!

You would not believe the separation anxiety going on between these two. The puppy has been beside herself searching through the house and laying outside of my daughter's closed bedroom door looking and waiting for her.
Your dog wouldn't happen to be a Bichon frise by any chance, would she? Because my dog does the exact same thing! She whines when she comes home from her walk, and I have to be downstairs with her in the afternoon. When my grandfather died, my dog was searching for him at the cottage going from room to room looking for him. And when our first nanny left, she walked through the rooms as well, looking for her and whining. Bijou also barks when we come home after a night out at a play or a movie. My mother says she's telling us all off for leaving her.

My dog had to get some teeth pulled a while ago, so afterwards she was pretty heavily drugged. I didn't mean to laugh, but she was so unsteady on her feet, and she accidentally walked into the wall instead of going through the door. She stepped back, wobbled, and then went through the door. It was really funny. It was like how someone with too much alcohol in their system would act, staggering and moaning. I shouldn't have laughed, she was in pain, but it's sort of funny anyway...

She likes to sleep in my lap when I am in my recliner, begging to come up whenever I am in it. Then when we both nod off, when she wants to go out after a few hours, she licks my hands to wake me. That is such a gentle way to wake me, because for instance, if she licked my face I would not like it at all! So I am happy she is so kind and gentle to me. I guess just like I am to her! :)

This is Panda, my latest rescue. Sold as a Maltese Schitzu to my parents, but I'm pretty sure she's actually a poodle X schnauzer.

Really bad seperation anxiety, destructive behavior as a result of it and going on heat, so I'm working on it.
She's really loving though, and loves to be close.

I adopted a kitten. He's about 14 weeks now I think. He 'wool sucks' and kneads me, ie he kneads and latches onto my skin and tries to nurse. Actually it's sort of annoying and icky but at the same time it's really sweet. I think he will grow out of it when he gets a little older.

Jmni, he should. My first kitten did the same thing, but to my ear when I was trying to sleep. I had to cover my ear with my hand and she would suckle on the knuckles. She finally grew out of it and I was able to sleep.

We have a cat that likes to sit on the bathroom counter and stare at herself. She even turns her head from side to side like she's admiring how pretty she is.

She also prefers to drink from the running faucet. She'll get so excited when we go to wash our hands and nudge us out of her way so she can drink.

I have a Siamese and he does the same thing at 2 years old. I got used to it, its a sign of affection and can be very soothing. Most cats out grow it, just make sure to clip your cats nails on a regular basis.

Star, the abused kitten (now, a full grown Queen), loves to jump on the ledge of the tub, and drink from the tub, while I am taking a bath. Or she sits on the toilet seat and stands guard over me. But, what really gets me, is that her purring can be heard before she allows me, to touch her.

We had a cat that did the "kneading" thing her whole life. She died at the age of 17!

My dog is a vegetable thief! She eats tomatoes off the vines and steals beans out of the bowl when I'm picking them! She also tries to take pumpkins off the vine, but I won't let her. She ate a whole pumpkin last month---it was still green! I'm just glad she didn't get sick. Oh, and she steals onions; not to eat, just to possess---she'll prance around with them in her mouth! She also loves squash, melons and cucumber.

At least she's healthy! We don't feed her any of those crappy processed dog "treats" (if you can call them that). She prefers veggies!
