Your Pet Did What!?!

This morning one of my kitties decided that while I was brushing my teeth would be a good time to get some love. So she joined me at the sink with her pur-engine going full blast and I of course scratched her head and cheeks with one hand while brushing with the other. She got a little toothpaste on her tail and we had to wash it off. Being a water loving cat she didn't mind at all.

I have had my dog Lulu (scottish terrier/puggish something or other) almost three years now and she has become more in tune with me as we age together. Tonight I stayed up way too late because someone put extra coffee in my bubble tea today by accident and I ended up awake far longer than I planned. Her first warning she comes to me and cries until tell her I know its bedtime and she will go get in my bed and wait for me. Tonight she did something new, I took longer than usual and she got one of her heavy Nylabones and dropped it from my bed onto the floor to get my attention. We live in a second floor apartment building and its 5 am. I left a second time to do something after putting the bone away and she started barking from my room for me to go to bed (which she never does late night either). Only recently have I started leaving their Nylabones out at night as they are really respectful at leaving them be after bedtime is announced.

How is my dog so smart and in tune with me that she knows when bedtime is and when I've stayed up late? She is my best girlfriend and I can tell her anything. She is now happily snuggled on my lap.

I have an appointment with a sleep specialist on Wednesday and I know my dog can help be part of the solution by making me go to bed on time :p.

The day I met my dog we were equally depressed and hopeless and the moment I picked her up for the first time I knew we needed each other. She has been such an important part of my therapy. She sleeps in my bed with me at night and she follows me everywhere. When I am sad she brings me her favorite toys (this just made me cry).

Koda has been Technicolor poo free for several weeks now.

About 3 weeks after I first got him I started to notice something funny when we went out to potty. First it just seamed that it was kinda spongy when you cleaned it up. Then it started to look different. No strange colors at first just a bit of off brown. Maybe a splash of green. I thought he was just eating the grass. Until one day I was cleaning up after our potty trip and say neon shining up from his deposit. I picked it up in the bad and moved the bit around to get a look. It was one of the monkey fists. One with a 1inch steel core and neon yellow and green cord over black. He swallowed and passed it whole. The following list is colors he has excreted.

Neon category
Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink

Basic category
Green, Brown, Black, Purple, Orange, Red, Indigo

Pastel category
Pink,Green, Khaki, White, Gray, Olive

For some time my Niece has been calling him Skittles. Because he likes to "Taste the rainbow, Poop the rainbow"

I'm cracking up. I gave Tess and Buddy each a bone. Tess of course ate hers(rawhide). Buddy has hers in the living room. Every time Tess moves in the kitchen, Buddy jumps up and barks a warning not to come in the living room. Silly dog.
