Your Pet Did What!?!

If my back was really sore I would like to soak in the tub. Then the calico cat would come into the room then lay on my chest while I was soaking in the tub. Occasionally she would fall in though.

My cat won't go any further than the back gate without me. So to make sure she gets some exercise, I have to walk around the park with her and then she follows me back. The neighbours think we're both nuts (little do they know ). Because she from Perth Australia, she's not used to the cold, so she's taken to sleeping laying again the CV on the wall.

My pup got to play with the neighbor's dogs yesterday morning. The have a swimming pool in the bak yard that they have a cover on. Well, Skai decided walking on it was very cool. It would stretch down and the water would get deeper. He LOVED that squishy surface and playing in the water. It was hysterical to watch him and I guess I am going to have to take him swimming next summer. I wish I had been able to video take him! He also chased their terrier all over and came home soaked, muddy and as happy as can be. Best thing... he was tired!!

I think my cat is unhappy. I'm not sure what to do about this. I've never had an indoor cat before and I really question how enjoyable domestic life can possibly be for indoor cats. If I ever live outside of the city I think I'll maybe let her go outside a little. But then you have to worry about the bird population. I really question breeding cats for pets. Sure I have worse things to worry about. But I think my cat is depressed.

I've read that if your cat seems depressed to make sure they are stimulated. Laser light pointers, cat nip toys, that sort of thing... keeps them active and allows them to play, and use their hunting behavior. How old is your cat? This also makes a different. Older cats really don't do much...

oh haha thanks for caring. Well she's 3.5 approximately. She is very happy while playing. If I had a million dollars I would hire a cat player. I play with her a couple times a day, but I always feel an inner guilt for not playing with her more. A human can only drag a feather around for so long though. She is under stimulated for sure.

I hear ya about only being able to drag a feather for so long :O_o: I learned to adopt older cats that way it's more of them cuddling while I'm studying then me being distracted by their random play...

My parents randomly bought two puppies... so I'm definitely so excited to meet them for the first time this Thanksgiving weekend. Unfortunately I only have a day or so with them, but my mom sends me pictures of them every day almost and I can't wait to see them!! They already roll and jump and everything. They're wonderful and I haven't even gotten to hold them. Love pets!
