Should I see a psychic medium to see if he can communicate with a dead rapist?

I don't believe in psychics or any pseudoscience at all really. But, my past experience with a violent perpetrator was so bizarre and violent and felt horrible enough that it couldn't possibly have come out of our beautiful earth. So, when it pertains to my perpetrator, I guess I believe anything can happen. The rules don't apply to him.

I am thinking that PTSD has made me feel so haunted that I'm sort of losing my mind to even consider seeing a psychic that speaks to dead people.

Please tell me this is just a crazy waste of money.

More importantly, I think it's a really vulnerable position to put yourself in. Whether one believes in communication with the dead or not - there's a long, long tradition (documented) of mediums who con those who are desperately seeking answers from the afterlife. While there's an art to it, it's not hard to do. I think you'd be setting yourself up for not only a swindle, but also an emotional roller coaster that really is not worth the price of admission.

Yes, l agree with this. But on another level, l see your need to connect to heal and move on , and a good medium is a little difficult to find. Have you thought of possibly tapping into this yourself? Meditating on this maybe? Or asking a question and sleeping with that. What is the true reason that you need to contact this person? Can you find these answers elsewhere? Just saying......

I appreciate how reasonable you all sound. Thank you, I need to hear this. For those of you with PTSD caused by another person, doesn't it feel SO real like they are inside your body? It's like he's living in me and on some sort of cosmic level I wonder if he's still really with me...He was such a powerful force of energy that I can believe he'd be able to haunt me from beyond. Clearly this sounds nuts. I logically know this. There is a big difference in how I feel versus what I logically understand though.

This is great. I will think about this more deeply. I am so close to meeting his parents too and I don't know what I want from them either. An apology? Maybe to understand how their son could be such a psychopath?

I was going to see John Edwards. Silly but he tours around the world. Been all over TV and media. I used to watch him to make fun of how gullible the people are, but now I find myself desperate answers and wanting to find him. $850 for private session.

Orion, I don't think it's nuts at all, I have the same feeling about my mother who abused me although she isn't dead, so I worry she'll show up some day. Perhaps meditation would help, have you looked into banishing rituals? It's not for everyone but perhaps it would help you feel cleansed of this evil energy. Just a thought.

I have been to a handful of seances. Your post isn't dumb. Wanting answers from those who hurt us is pretty normal. Can I ask what you hope to get out of it? If you are looking for answers from what is most likely a malevolent spirit your chances are slim to none. At best you might get a small tidbit of random information along the lines of him having a pet from when he was 5.

Contact was made with my mom once and the only thing I got from that was her sending a clear message of "leave me alone." I had the benefit of knowing a well-respected medium personally. There was no financial loss. Not going to give out contact info so don't even ask.

You would be hard pressed find someone who isn't a scammer who would be willing to take on a rapist anyways and I wouldn't trust someone who did.

I think plenty of survivors can relate to that. No, it isn't nuts. However, it is doubtful he is haunting you, and if that is your fear, you definitely don't want to get his attention via seance. Get some sage instead.

The thing is with living abusers, they usually never give you anything you want, either.
Closure, an admission of guilt, an apology, amends. Nope. They're profoundly selfish.
The worse ones will *play you* by using what you want against you.

I doubt anything would have changed since the guy's pushing up flowers.
So even if you don't get conned, you won't get what you want from him.

Focus on getting his energy out of your body in mental, kinetic and tactile ways.
