New Here
Hey there,

So I wanted to write down three things that were bothering me then follow that with five things that could help. Doing it here would be great as I would have the support of others in the same boat and we could all get ideas from each other and different coping strategies. If you feel like saying ridiculous stuff, thats awesome too :p
Whatever works for you!

Problems:

1) Overwhelming Anxiety/Panic
2) Unsure how to tell the people close to me how much I'm struggling
3) Feel very alone

Happier thoughts/What could help:

1) Go for a drive
2) Make a nice cup of tea
3) Many people have it far worse than myself
4) I found this site which has already given me ideas/solutions/valuable research
5) I see my family soon

My first problem atm is insomnia 2days with 2hrs sleep second problem would have to be pain and third would be nightmares as for solutions a mallet would be helpful for most of these issues to tired to think of anymore solutions lol

Hey there,

So I wanted to write down three things that were bothering me then follow that with five...
What's Bothering Me:

Don't know where to begin finding a new job
Worry about burning out my closest support network
Getting over a breakup

Things To-Do:

Get my cover letter/proposal written
Go for a walk
Eat really well
Join this forum! (check!)
Get in the shower (it's been a few days)

@Willi Ive been striving real long to get the job. But I did. In the end. So hold on and hold out. I didnt belive it could come true at the end, but then there it was - the job offer.

And - I was in a awefully lousy mood yesterday writing here - Ill correct myself today on 1) & 2) clean the house, go for walk, go for walk go for walk, eat food God darn it - thats what I did yesterday and Im better now - phew!!

Lets see three problems:
1: Migraine that has been constant for 9 days
2: New challenges with this migraine in that I am having intermittent blindness in one eye. Yes my migraine is two of my problems but they dominate my life as a chronic issue more than 20 days a month
3: Toxic work environment

What are five solutions:
1: Get lots of rest this long weekend
2: Get some exercise
3: Update my resume and look for training to advance my work options
4: Go to the gym and spend some time doing a bag workout to release stress
5: Get a massage.

Love this!
1. I'm procrastinating on 3 things: an important licensing exam for work, putting together a resume/job hunting, and sending out enrollment form for grad school

2. My son's school is putting a lot of pressure on us because he is special needs. It's like they expect us to "fix" him somehow and I'm tired of being talked down to by them. Sorry, there is nothing in my child that needs fixing, nor is there any magical pill that is going to make his issues disappear.

3. My house is messy and I don't want to clean it.

Solutions:
1. Put the entire family on cleaning duty, there is no reason to do it by myself.
2. Pick one procrastinated item to work on, and then give myself a treat afterwards (nails, spa, etc).
3. Dealing with my son's teachers--procrastinate and put off that parent-teacher meeting. I already know what is going to be discussed and I'd just rather not. We are having a second evaluation done, so his teacher can wait till then.
4. Watch a movie with my husband.
5. Make a point to sleep in this weekend, even if that means "My Little Pony" on the TV in my room early in the morning with two little girls in my bed. So long as mom gets to lie there half asleep, I'm totally okay with that.

1. I have too many empty hours in my day.
2. I fell last week and hurt my back so I can't exercise right now and it's making me sad.
3. I have lost direction and motivation overall.

Fixes:
1. Get out of the damn house.
2. Pick up those dusty instruments.
3. Set goals every morning.
4. Make art.
5. Volunteer.

I'm so very happy to hear this, @Bloomy. Let me know how it's going for you, will you? I too have covered a lot of ground in just the past 24 hours. I'm better able to adjust my sites and manage my feelings toward something much more useful, potent and that can fill me with worthiness. All are crucial to the process of believing in oneself. It sounds like such a cliche, doesn't it? "Believe in yourself." Yuck! But if you don't know yourself to exist, how can anyone else? That's the simple truth. Belief = veracity. I am because I be, and I be a very good one for the task at hand.... ; )

@Willi to be unemployed in addition to ptsd cause a lot of stress and less good feelings about one self so yes the cliche is crucial. One has to atleast fake that one belive in one self and maybe itll come true some day?
Work is going fairly well so far, but I count months and not days and weeks.
