Klonopin\Ativan\Xanax\Valium. Are the drug for go to ptsd. Ever since I moved to TN my last doc yanked me off klonopin. Now I've already been through the acute withdrawals and now I'm just living the zombie mode.

I don't have a card and I need to find a doctor that will prescribe me some benzos. I know I went a long time without them but life is too short. I'm not going to suffer my way through life.

Anxiety is the problem

There are MANY other drugs that can help anxiety such as what I am presently on, Seriquel XR (extended release). That also helps me stabilze in every other way.

There are many other classes of drugs that can help anxiety besides a benzo. And there are also many non-drug options as well.

And I would also say that if I relied on any drug for 90% of my life back, that would classify it as a problem. In my opinion. Nothing holds a 90% mark like that in my life but there is so much you can do to help PTSD depending on symptoms and anxiety. Such as DBT. And there is a DBT workbook specific for anxiety:

Dead Link Removed

And still just one of many things. I would say relying that heavily on any drug is dangerous (and any one thing still just as dangerous in my opinion).

Sleeping ok. Lost forty pounds in thirty months. I can see benzos being a abort panic attack option. I have chronic HAD and gabapentin works pretty well. I can't abuse it anymore it makes me have seizures.

I have PTSD/OCD/MDD w psychotic features/ anxiety.

So you see if I wasn't relying on medication lostandforgotten I would be in inpatient for the rest of my life. I'm thinking about going to a group home.

Nothing you have said convinces me you would be in inpatient all your life. What non medication therapy have you tried.

I would love something that aborted panic attacks on demand, but I don't. I struggle with anxiety about 25% the day every day. Obviously this is just an average. Some days it's more, some days it is less. I employ a lot of skills like mindfulness to manage it. Key word, managing, not eliminating.

What is HAD? I am googling it and nothing comes up.

Then why the hell are you not on something like Seriquel XR? It is an anti-psycotic prescribed in lower doses for things like anxiety, depression/MDD, some PTSD symptoms which are cross over BPD symptoms, along with MANY other reasons. It evens out the emotions, calms anxiety, and really helps to stabilize you. It is a long term med. You take it at night and over a 24 hr period it delivers the drug to you. It also builds up in your body. Meaning it is constantly working. It prevents a lot of panic and anxiety attacks and anxiety in general. So, unlike a benzo, which is feel anxiety take med, wait for med to work, Seriquel XR is always working. Preventing that anxiety in the first place.

You are an addict. There is no denying that and the rules change when you are an addict. And with this narrow vision, I am wondering if you aren't already addicted to benzos.

Also, DBT. That helps greatly with PTSD and would also help MDD. Mindfulness is amazing. There are MANY non-drug options. MANY!
