Ssh, @somerandomguy. :D:hug: The Mayan jaguars might appear and smack some black juju into all of us, and I need them to help me with a Nahuatl translation first, instead of being god awry, myth level angry with me.
Oh, wait, pardon, they are fluffy and loving and absolutely not going after everyone disturbing their peace as myths and ages honoring them in person Latinx traditions have it... in which case nevermind.

Hmmm, no angels in Zen. No "black magic" either. Are you mixing and matching your belief systems?

Seems to me that a belief system, like yours, that can't withstand a little questioning without "shut up" as an answer isn't much of a system.

I became Christians myself later in life and still believe in Christ and God even though I discovered Buddhism.
.
To answer your question. It's possible to perceive a God as much as to perceive that there were not.
There's lot learn before you understand, my fellow human being, but since this thread isn't about Zen teaching you need to look for the answers somewhere else. I know there's many wanting to argue, still it's my choice to not do so.

I do believe in angels. There are many here on this site, to me anyway.
Humans are not Angels, but I understand your language.
How do you know this ⬇
before an Angel possibly can inhabit your body
Isn't what Ladee experienced?
I don't think I'm one of the people they're referring too, however I am baptised, confirmed and confessed by the Catholic church. I'd apparently survive the process, having the appropriate qualifications as I do.
The church (for reasons I can't fathom) still has an officially practiced ritual for identifying and exorcising daemonic possession. If Ancitif or some other daemon can crawl in my head and start pulling strings, why not Gabriel, or one of the other members of the harp and halo club?

But that racism of phrasing (black magic)
Can you source this? I went looking, but I can't find any specific mention of the term originating as a description of the person practicing it. Rather to the contrary it seems to be simply a rudimentary description of the intent of the practitioner. Not picking a fight, I'm legit curious.

Understood :)

Basically that comes from viewing magic (or, rather, mostly herbalist and similar type of traditional healing understood as magic methods) of Black people as something malevolent, by default, and unfriendly / despising of God. (Which these ways of healing most often are not, since African traditional religions and branching off Caribbean religions and Latino paths worship(ped) God through a pantheon of Gods. So, no animosity to the Divine to speak of. The contrary, seeing God in way more acts and nature than at the Sunday mass in icons. Simplifying Christianity here just to make the point shorter.)

I think reading up on the history of collonialism, syncretic religions and their formations, slavery and enforced Christianization and Christian missions, political history and laws prohibiting witchcraft and organization & empowerment of enslaved people, might get you closer on why Black magic is a racist term, historically and modern day.

An Angel giving you healing is not the same as an Angel inhabiting your body to give it to others or to cast out demons. You need to remember that they are supernatural beings, on high frequencies which require preparation and initiation. Not everyone can handle as much energy as it provides, secondly it need to be for a purpose to not consume you.

The difference here is that if you have the ability to see, hear and perceive their tongue, as I do with the Jaguar's abilities, it can become overwhelming, even fatal and therefore requires the initiation of a master until Christ himself can inhabit your body permanently. You are initiated and educated to speak the same language as God and his Angels to be able to help others who were tormented before you. You will learn to master black magic and the demons on your own and heal those suffering hell, not for practicing it. If you want to know more about this please read the other tread mentioned: "The jaguar as spirit animal - what's yours?"

However, I believe also in other ways of healing.
I haven't tried exorcism of a priest, but heard about it and believe it's good if needed.

Some of us have greater tasks than others.
I wouldn't say I'm more blessed than others in thought of what my call in Spirit is about. But for that I need to know the Angels as other heavenly beings in a way human beings usually never need. They are supposed to live their lives without knowing the ways of God (the higher path), his purposes, Angels sent to them or details about their lives from past or in future. Abilities you have co working with the heavenly in tradition of the Jaguar's Spirit. Too much for man unless you belong to the same family in Spirit. This is how I know.

After all. All God's work is good work.
I'm spiritual, not religious.

Sincerely

Once my car was stuck in the ice on a deserted road - my little one and I - out in the middle of nowhere. I got out, and was standing there, just looking at the car, saying - what am I going to do?
And I turned around and there was a truck - the driver said, get back in your car. he used his truck to push my car back onto the regular road. Then, no truck anymore.
Another time I had a car accident, and was stuck on the side of another deserted road with my horn blaring, utterly freaking out, couldn't even think to call anyone, just standing there, freaking out. Then, there was a truck. A guy got out, opened the hood, turned off the horn, and asked me if I knew who to call. I said - oh, I should call my insurance company. And it was like - that helped me think again. I went to get my phone, and - no truck, no guy.
Another time, I was driving and my car skidded on wet pavement. I held the wheel tight, screaming out a prayer. Both my kids in the backseat. I could see the world whirling around outside the windows. Thought we were going to die. Then the car stopped. We were parked next to the road, facing in the correct direction, like I had just pulled off the road. Roadsides were very muddy so I thought I'd see tracks of what happened. Tracks showed me going off the road and pulled sharply to the right which was the beginning of the spin - and then no more tracks. No tracks behind my car either. It was like my car had just been lifted up and dropped back down next to the road.

I've had a few close shaves, mostly avoiding being hit by vehicles over the years, I have felt something there but dismissed it, but I think I was being watched and protected by an angel or angels. I believe in them. I need them around more often ?I welcome them and hope they continue to protect us all.

I don't believe in actual angels but something that people interpret as different things based on their beliefs. I second guess experiences like that so nothing that has made me a firm believer.

Well my Angel didn't have feather's and float. I just remember her calm and confident voice amongst all the chaos and screaming (I was doing a lot of that btw lol). And I cannot put a face to her and I would not be able to describe her. But I think she was an Angel. However I wasn't in any condition to be interrogating at the time.

When everything was over me wondering 'hey who was that masked man?' Except it wasn't a man and there was no mask.
