Specifically for:

PTSD
CPTSD
Dissociation
Trauma in general

Whatever else I can’t think of lol.

I currently have:
The Complex PTSD Workbook by Arielle Schwartz
Coping with Trauma Related Dissociation by Suzette Boon

Just ordered paperbacks of:
DBT Skills Workbook by Matthew McKay
Attachment Theory Workbook by Annie Chen

Non workbooks that I have:
The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk
Complex PTSD by Pete Walker

I’m looking for any and all recommendations.

If you’re into DBT, the workbooks by Marsha Lenehan are great! Also, The Body Remembers: The Psychophysiology of Trauma and Trauma Treatment by Babette Rothschild is a good one! Lastly, The Courage to Heal 4th Edition: A Guide for Women Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse by Ellen Bass and Laura Davis is a good starting place.

I haven’t read all of these, but people recommend them all the time. I have more, but I don’t want to overwhelm you too much! Are you looking for books on specific treatments like EMDR and skills like self-compassion?

SO good.

I felt like her writing got through to the traumatized me, rather than the academic/observing/distant way of thinking I tend to get stuck in. It may be a good supplement to go with the workbooks to unlock that stuff needed for healing.

The Courage to Heal harmed me and others I know.I can not recommend it. I used the book "Self-Therapy" by Jay Early which is like a workbook. It helps with internal polarized conflict.

Thanks!

I agree on the Courage to Heal book. Someone gave it to me way, way back-granted this was a not so good person who didn’t have good intentions himself. Anyway, I remember browsing through it and feeling really off. It felt really wrong, not resistance like I’m feeling with DBT stuff, but just now right.

Courage to Heal didn't work for me either. I get nervous just thinking about it.

I go back and re-read Coping with Trauma Related Dissociation regularly. Love that book.
