What Did You Eat And Drink Last?

Sauteed onion, leek, courgette, green pepper, mushroom, & petits pois with a spoonful of dairy free pesto
Sparkling water with a couple drops of orange zest oil

I really need to get a handle on my sugar consumption/cravings!!!
How’s your pain management? Unmanned pain causes sugar cravings, as the part of the brain that manufactures endorphins... is part of the brain. Which runs on glucose (sugar). Actually, it’s the only organ in the body that runs solely on sugar. And when it has to work hard? That’s the message it sends out. Loudly. Because it’s got the megaphone! And isn’t shy about using it. Anywhere else in the body needs something? That request has to pass through the brain, and is prioritized at different levels. But when the brain wants somehing? NOW! SEND IT NOW! No wait time.

Not good. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia many years ago.

I have some pretty severe pain when I walk, the doctor thinks this may be caused by heart problems and has ordered a stress test.

My pain meds so far have not been effective. I take tramadol and Flexeril and otc anti-inflammatories.

Thank you for the information I was totally unaware.

Keeping the little 10calorie glucose candies/snacks around (or saltine cracker or jolly ranchers or lollypops) to eat once an hour or so -not hungry, much less craving, just to melt in your mouth- Or suck on throughout the course of the day can save you a 1,000+ calories of FEED ME SEYMORE sugar cravings, jist because the steady little sugar add keeps your brain from getting scared it’s going to run out of zappy zappy.

Pain patients are quirky... one of the only populations that loses weight by keeping lollipops in their mouth all day.

@Friday

Thank you for the information..I have diabetes type II and don't know if I can have the glucose candies/snacks you mentioned. I suppose I should ask my doctor or a pharmacist. I would love to calm these sugar cravings and perhaps lose some weight as well.

Check with your doctor. :D

The glucose candies we actually got for type 1 diabetes when blood sugars drop suddenly and OJ+crackers aren’t available... but I & II can be wildly different beasts. For type 1 the 10kcal 15 times a day (once an hour) for pain @ 150 sugar total = a zillion times better than a single 150kcal piece of toast, but I have no idea if the low level long time frame is good for type II. They might prefer you keep a couple lollipops around, rather than drink a soda, or that might be a terrible idea, stick with the soda, know what I mean?

Went into a Taiwanese Fried Chicken shop. Didn't know that's what it was before I entered. Found that out by googling the place. Had deep friend lotus root with kimchi seasoning. Very happy about I was it too.

About to have my first mince pie of this year.
