I went to a local lake in my city here are some of the photos ... It was a beautiful day walking the banks looking for photographs.

You Did It!!!! Yay! Great photos, too. I really like the bridge with the Art Nouveau design reflected in the water. And of course, I'm a sucker for flower pictures.

Some images I caught this year.....my neighborly duck (a loner amongst a flock of mallards), an otter I saw cross the road and leap into the creek...., a couple of terns fighting over food (or the lady tern shutting her mate up), and an egret.View attachment 58817

Your goose photo made me chuckle. That guy ought to apply for a place on a Roller Derby team or for a gig on World Wide Wrestling!!! What a great face! 😆 And I think @ladee is correct. The Terns are on a boundary squabble: A wordless action that says, "Shut your beak!". And you know what else I like? I like the bubbly edge of the beach water.

Actually, one had a sand crab in it's mouth. The other was trying to get the sand crab from it's mouth.....I looked back at the other pics I had taken and realized it was a food squabble.....

So far, just growing them for us and to share with others, @TruthSeeker - and lately, been dehydrating a lot to have over the colder months. It feels good to be able to grow things. Especially since I used to struggle to keep the lowest maintenance houseplants alive. lol It makes for good bartering options, too. Going to attempt more growth of greens and herbs over winter indoors. Fingers crossed! If all else fails, the microgreens and sprouts will suffice for a few months until Spring rolls back around.

Found this little beauty during a walk after the heavy rains yesterday. I think it's a prunella vulgaris (heal all/self heal). Such a delight to see among the huge pile of leaves - but this shot ended up being my favorite - it reminds me of some of my favorite tie-dyes where I can see faces and such in the various colors - lol:

The sun was trying really hard to shine - as the beautiful breeze surfers (turkey vultures) were enjoying the high winds:
